Question about Gold Medal 2003 Whiz Bang Popcorn Maker
The kettle takes forever to pop the corn, what would cause this?
Old popcorn is the first thing to check, and that you are measuring correctly. 12oz of popcorn is the correct amount in a 3 min popping cycle. always time the 2nd batch.
That model popper has 2 heat elements, and 2 thermo stats that control them. If the first 2 things to check are good, then you dropped a thermo stat or heater and it is operating on 1 heater instead of 2.

Have you checked to assure that the warmer switch and the kettle heat switch are both functioning properly? Also the timer on the bucket seasoning pump control box determines the length of time the heat element of the bucket pump is at HIGH HEAT i also suggest you take a look at this pdf of the manual of your machine under the troubleshooting guide area if you have any further questions please message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation Thanks again
