The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

I use windows media to upload my pics...are you saying I have to consult them to print the date on any pics I want to post?

  • kakima Jan 21, 2013

Do you want to print the date when you print your pictures? Or do you simply want the date to appear on the pictures?

  • kakima Jan 21, 2013

Since the camera won't deface your pictures by scrawling a string of numbers across them, you have to do it yourself. Just about any photo editing program will let you write text over an image. Many of them will also let you automate the process (assuming you want the text in the same place and in the same color on each picture).

How to view dates while printing for Lumix DMC - TZ3

The camera will not show the date while taking pictures. The camera can stamp the date onto the photo, but the image size will be reduced. See page 66 of the manual: http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/DMCTZ2.PDF.

However the date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. How do i set my camera to date stamp the pictures. I have a Fuji Finepix S1000

The camera doesn't put the date onto the picture, but it does put the information into the file. You can choose to have it appear when you print the picture. If you're printing from the camera, please refer to the "Printing Pictures via USB" section in the manual (page 57 in my copy). If you're printing from the computer, please refer to the documentation for that program.

I wanted to know how do i get the time/date on my pictures when i upload them on to the computer

The time and date (and a lot more) are stored with every picture when taken, and the data remain with the picture when transferred. Just about any photo viewer should be able to show you the so-called "EXIF" data. For example, in Windows Explorer if you simply hover the mouse over a picture it will show the date/time it was taken.

If you want the date stamp to appear when you print, please refer to the documentation for whatever program you're using to print. Depending on the program and printer, you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

My date is correct on my camera but i can't get it to show up on the picture. I like to use the date on the picture to help me organize my photos in my scrapbook. How do i get it to show up when i print my...

The date is stored in the metadata of the picture - it is not in the image itself. Metadata is the stuff that the camera adds to the digital file for other purposes.
in order to print the date on to a picture you must use some software that will extract the metadata and superimpose it onto the image.

I accidentally set the date imprint on my camera. I'm wondering if there is a way to get the date taken off of the front of the pictures I have already taken.

From the manual, "Imprinted dates form a permanent part of image data and cannot be deleted."

The best you can do it to make sure that Date Imprint is turned off for future pictures. The camera still records date/time info into each picture file, and many printing programs can imprint that onto the picture at printing time. The good ones print it on the back, so as not to interfere with the image. Either way, you can always add the date to the picture, but you can't remove it once it's there.

How do I get the date and time to show up on either printed pictures or on my downloads onto my home computer? I have set the date and time but it doesn't show up on anything, even my cameras own screen.

The date and time plus a lot more information is stored with each picture as "metadata". It can be retrieved in most photo editing programs. After downloading to your computer, if you just right-click on a picture file, the date and time will appear.
