Question about Stanley Camping, Backpacking & Hiking
Lost an end cap on one leg to hold the batteries in can you get a new end cap
Some models of the famous MagLite use this 'feature' as the on-off switch. I have several such myself.

SOURCE: where do the batteries go
The batteries are located inside each leg of the flashlight. Just remove the end cap on each leg by twisting it off. Inside each leg is 3 AA batteries.
Good Luck! Rich L.

SOURCE: How do you install the
To replace the batteries in each side of the 3-in-1 tripod light, you'll need to slide each light out of the central frame. Once each individual light is out on its own, you should be able to easily unscrew its bottom, giving you access to the battery compartment. Unlike the original Stanley tripod light, the actual tripod legs no longer hold the batteries.
On the original Stanley tripod LED light design, the black tripod leg tips simply unscrewed after you popped them out into the "stand" position. Much simpler to figure out.

SOURCE: I have a Stanley tripod
After drilling each leg to remove my corroded batteries I found that each leg isa push fit allowing it to seperate from the body thus allowing a screwdriver to be pushed thru releasing the corroded batteries. Re-assemble assuring a tight fit to make connection and it works well. Good luck I was drilling 1 leg for hours and the other 2 took ten minutes.
