Your problem is that you have purchased an incompatible memory card.

The largest capacity xD card which your camera can use is 1GB, but it works better with a maximum of 512MB as 1GB can make the camera operations a little sluggish.

There are no updates to enable your camera to use the latest xD cards as the limitation is a hardware issue due to evolving technology.

You therefore only have two fixes: replace the xD card with a maximum 1GB capacity (but preferably 512MB), or replace your camera with one of the recent models which accepts the 2GB xD card.

it should as long as the fuji takes XD memory cards, you should be able to tell by trying to put the card into the fuji, make sure that the card goes in the right way, the manual should tell you which way the card goes in

TRY FORMATTING IT ON A PC. IF THE SAME THING HAPPENS IT COULD BE THE XD CARD IS CORUPT (BIN) THEY ARE AS CHEAP AS CHIPS ON 7DAYSHOP.COM

I suggest you purchase a memory card reader for your desktop/laptop pc and hopefully the card reader will do the trick, do not risk the camera with a faulty memory card, rather purchase a new card....

You can purchase any xD card for the camera. The camera will support xD cards from 16mb to 2gb. Either the M or the M+ types are compatible.

there are known issues with type m and h cards with some camera models -see if you can find xd card with no letter-

I went to Radio Shack and purchased an XD card reader with an USB connection.
I connected to my digital photo frame and was able to see the pictures on the XD camera card on the Polaroid digital photo frame.

purchase another card (smaller memory and cheaper...as a test). install it. if it works, then read file folder names under windows and then copy these folders over to the 1GB card.

The internal memory and the xD-Picture Card cannot be used at the same time. When the card is inserted the internal memory is disabled. When you want to use the internal memory, remove the xD Picture Card. The LCD display will indicate that images are saved to internal memory by displaying [IN] in the lower right corner of the screen. When using the xD-Picture Card the camera’s LCD will display [xD] in the lower right corner of the screen. These indicators are displayed just above the number of available frames.
