Problem during installation

Hi, When I tried to install the phone for the first time, I found that the handset and answering system were both working fine. But suddenly the answering system went down and it never came up(No light indications)! What might be the problem? Your help is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Aravinth.

Did yo first let all the batteries charge like they asked you to when you first installed it? Did you check to see if there if there is a battery needed for the answering machine? Best I can do is give you the toll free number for customer service: For customer service assistance, dial 1.800.448.0329, Contact Us via Email or, if you prefer, write to us at Thomson, Inc. P.O. How do I set the ringer on DECT1635 to ring for longer

Hi there
Try this: -You can set or change the answering system options from any handset.
Just open the menu and select Answering Setup. Select Ring Time and Set the number of rings (6, 9, or 12) before the system answers. Toll Saver makes the system answer after 2 rings if you have new
messages or after 4 rings if you don't.
I also found a full manual which you can download from here:
http://www.uniden.com.au/RESOURCES_MAIN/pdfs/DECT_1635_OM.pdf
and save to your computer for future reference
Cheers

I had the same message. After a length investigation, I found it was the phone line and not the phone. After having the phone line fixed, the phone worked fined.

Can you tell me how to fix this T23 PD error message on a handset for the AT&T EP 5962 2-line phone?

Well this worked for me so hopefully it will work for everyone else also... I had dropped my handset and the battery popped out.. well upon reinserting the battery i got the T23 PD Blinking error on my phone, well after trying multiple things from what the manual was stating I eventualy gave up and unplugged the handset from the wall... well we received a call in our office and all of a sudden my "unplugged" phone, that was still sitting in the handset charger began to ring and all the normal numbers and name were on the face of the handset... I then plugged the phone back in and went into the menu to Register, then entered the Base ID which is found at your Base Phone. Once this was complete it said please wait.. although for a short while it kept on saying System Busy if you tried to hit line 1 or 2 but by the next morning it is working fine! :) Hope this helps for you also.

After working properly for a long time, suddenly my vtech handsets indicate 'no line'. I have a land-line that is working properly; the problem is just with the vtech cordless phones. Advice please?

i would have to say its your antenna from where they charge.i dont think its sending a signal.try replacing that or the whole unit might need to be replaced.

Freestyle 2200 won't work simply beep 3 times

Hi - I checked all the handsets and found I had two registered as no 2, 1 as 3 and 1 as 4 - NO No 1! I don't know how this happened but anyway I changed the duplicate no 2 to be no 1 and then re-registered the offending handset no 4. All is now fine. The duplicate number may have had nothing to do with the problem of course as unfortunately I didn't try re-registering the offending handset beforehand.

Unable to talk on two handsets at same time when receiving a call

Unfortunately that is the untold story about cordless phones they only have the capability of 1 open line be it the handset or or the base. There are some very pricey multi line systems, I have the same system bought two extra handsets and found out too late that I can only use them one at a time! Sorry probably not the answer you were looking for but thats the reality...

Registering a new phone

With a little searching I was not able to confirm this phone could handle more than one cordless handset. Are you replacing a defective handset or trying to add a second. If adding, do you know if it can handle the second unit (is it advertised on the box, in the user guide, etc?) If replacing, you most likely have to de-register the old handset on the base unit before you can register a new one. If you are adding, try de-registering the working handset anyway and registering the new one. If the new one registers and you cannot re-register the once working phone you will know either the system cannot handle two phones or (if the new one will not register but you can again re-register the original) that the new handset has a problem and should be returned.
