Question about Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console

Adaptor plugin messed up

Hello i have the slim ps2 and my sisters idiot boyfriend dropped it.. after that the ps2 would not turn on at all so i twisted the hell out of the adapter chord and put something on top of it and it works just fine.. but after a while it turns off!! i know its not the chord because i tried it with a new one and i still have the same problem...what should i do?

You can try to fix it yourself but be careful because the slim is different. the slim has a connection that if you pull the ps2 apart wrong or too hard, it will tear the connection and it will not work at all. I think that there is something that just got pulled. You may have to solder something if you do, then you are going to need that tool. connie

You probably have a loose connection in there. If you are comfortable with it, open it up and check for a loose connection. If you find it you can probably fix it yourself. If you aren't comfortable with it I'm sure you have a friend that is willing.
