Maybe you should check your picture settings from the menu button, it should be a "slider" from red to green, and your preference somewhere near the middle.

Green picture only

The projection TV has 3 guns RED GREEN BLUE. In your case the red and the blue guns are gone. So you are getting the green color screen. You got to replace the picture tube.

Green picture

a green screen on power up with retrace lines. At shut down a point appears in the middle of the screen. Sounds like either a shorted G2 grid, or bad flyback. If a phospher flake has shorted the grid in the tube, you can sometimes have luck by using a megger set at 1000VDC, to burn away the short. This is usually caused by the line HV going too high causing the anti-UV protection to kick in so fit a dummy load 40W lamp instead to the line output to allow measurements to be made.

Screen Green Tint

Turn down your color and see if the screen has a normal black & white screen. If it doesn't then the CRT is bad (picture tube). If it is black & White then you have a either lost your red or blue. That problem will be in your video driver circuit of which a service center can handle.

THE GREEN SCREEN

using a dmm check the resistors on the kine board. the small board on the back of the picture tube. you sould find an open resistor. if i remember correctly, if looking at the back it would be on the bottom of the board & about 180k ohm. if you have a difficult time finding it, look for the same type/color of parts on the small board to make comparrisons. between parts. you sould have 3 of most parts, one for each color. good luck.
