Took toshiba off comcast control and now ct-90157 won't work

We took our toshiba model #32a33 off the comcast set up box and hooked up the toshiba to cable in another room without set top box and the ct 90157 wiill change channel, but it will show the channel for a second and the channel will go to static only no picture

found manual at home, problem resolved, no help needed.

My top set box just stopped working, it turns on and off but dose not have a picture and the channels are no longer on display

We found the manual at home and was able to program the t.v. to recognize all the channels from cable and store them.

Can I control my DVD player from this remote and how?

Probably only as long as it's a Toshiba dvd player, can't say i've ever got one to work even the TV hansets with dvd controls. This is what the site says it works with:- This replacement remote will operate all functions of models 32A33, 32A43, 32AF43, 32AF44, 35AF44, 35A44, 36A43 and 36AF43.
