Look for the mute button on that control... also look at the speaker icon on the lower right of your screen to make sure the volume is not muted

My daughter sat on the dish network remote and now there is no sound. All other devices hooked to the audio receiver work (DVD and Radio Tuner), but not the satellite. Any thoughts?

dbuerck

I would check to see if the "Mute" button was accidently pressed when your daughter sat on the remote. If not, unplug the receiver from your electrical outlet for 10 seconds and plug back in. This will cause the receiver to reboot and re-acquire the satellite signal. After the picture returns, see if you are getting audio. I hope this helps.

Memorex mvd2047 dvd player - no audio when playing dvd

Regarding the problem with the sound on your DVD player, I would suggest you to make sure the audio cables (red and white) are connected properly to the TV and player.

Also, try using a different set of cables since those ones might not be working and this is why you are not getting audio. On the Memorex remote you will find a mute button, make sure it is not activated.

HOW DO YOU BURN A DVD ON A SONY DVD RECORDER RDR

Make sure your Sony input signal is on L1 or L3 (the inputs in back of recorder) or on L2 which is for inputs for cameras(located in front).Once you get a signal, you're where you need to be. Choose your recording mode for recording speed (pull down the flap on the remote control for this button and also the input button).
Choose from between1 hour and six hours. To archive really important stuff, stick with the first 3 speeds. TV recording can be on 3, 4 or 6 hour mode.
Push the record/pause button once. This will put the recorder into the record/pause mode and then it awaits you pushing it again to start recording immediately. Just pushing record will force the machine into a 3 to five second delay before actually recording anything so you might mess up and miss the first few seconds of your input. Suggest you use a dvr-rw or dvd+rw to practice on.

When your recording is done, just push the pause again. It stops recording but allows you to add more on to the first recording without starting a new chapter if you want. Just continue to release the pause button to continue.
If you are satisfied that you are finished, then push the pause button to stop recording. Wait for the info to be written(flashing message on screen). When it stops, you may play the dvd.
Notice- since the dvd has not been FINALIZED, you may only play it back on this unit without finalizing. It will not play on other dvd players unless you finalize it first.
To finalize, look on remote for the TOOL button. Press it once. Now push DISC INFO once. Use arrow keys and enter button on remote for the following. Scroll down to FINALIZE and press enter.
Use arrow keys to scroll to OK. push the ENTER button. Finalizing should take between 30 seconds and 2 minutes.

Warning- if titles or chapters are to typed in, it must be done BEFORE finalizing. Finalizing afterwards cannot be done.
Erasing can be done in part or all if using an RW+ or RW- disc

Sudden loss of picture, sound comes though ok

It sounds like the exact same problem that my son recently created. The only solution I've determined is to reset the player to it's default settings. Although it took a little while (since the video display was not present), I finally found the right combination of buttons to push on the remote and now the problem is fixed. Insert a disk, then push the following buttons: Stop, Stop, System/Menu, >, >, >, v, v, v, v, v, >, OK

After the above sequence of buttons, the main player screen should reappear on the tv.

Have a daenyx dv-833 dvd player

Good Morning,

Your connection is very easy so we should not have a problem isolating the problem.
We just have to go slow step by step.

First lets just check the Yellow cable just to be on the safe to side sure it is connected properly on the back of the DVD player and on the Televison.

Second, If the connectionn is secured. Turn the DVD player on, make sure you do not have a disc in the tray then turn the DVD player off.

Make sure the battery on the remote control is a fresh new battery (process of eliminattion).
Hold the remote control in front of the DVD front panel.
Turn the DVD player on with the remote control. Look on the front panel of the DVD player, it should read no disc. Press the Pro.Scan button "once". (Have you notice a flickering on the Television Screen).

If no flickering on the TV screen, press the Pro.Scan button again, ( this will be the second time). Have you notice the flickering?

If not, press the Pro.Scan button again ( third time). Have you notice a flickering on the TV screen?

Did you not notice on the LED of the DVD player if it read anything when you pressed the Pro.Scan button?
Try the above procedure again if your picture did not resume. If the picture resume in black and white, do not press the Pro.Scan button anymore.

Let me know the outcome up to this point.

Thanks,
Mike H.

Recordes but dont play back

before you can watch a recorded DVD on another DVD player you must finalize the disc. to finalize the disc put the recorded disc into the DVD recorder, when the DVD loads it will show the titles that are recorded on the DVD on the screen
push the stop button it is the button with the square on it. the screen will go blank or it may let you watch whatever tv channel you are on if you have your tv ran through the recorder, push the setup buton a new screen will come up, with the arrow down button scroll down and highlight disc edit, press ok another screen will come up, with the arrow down button scroll down and highlight "finalize", press "ok" it is the button in the middle of the arrow keys
scroll up and highlight "yes" press "ok" the recorder will finalize the disc and it can be watched on any DVD player, just remember when you finalize a disc you cannot add anything else to the disc.
