Time Date Stamp on finished Video

Does anyone know how to set the camera options so that the time and date appear on the final recording? I need to have a record of when the video was shot for future reference, and I can set the internal clock but cannot get it to show up on the tape when played after shooting. Any ideas? Thanks.

ac4job: That makes sense as it is the only place I did not look, as I do not even know if I have a remote for this camera, I have had it for so long. But if I can find the remote I will try that. Thank you.

The time and code is recorded all the time but the only way to put it on the display is to use the remote control. when plyback a tape press the time/code button(i think this is the right name of the button)on the remote. this camcorder has a different way to display the time than other cams and you have to do this every time you play something(feature does not stay on after shutting down the cam or ejecting tape)

Print the date on the image/photo

It is not possible to embed the date/time stamp as part of the image itself with the XT. The date/time information is stored as part of the exif information stored in the image at the time of shooting.

However, you do have a couple options for printing images with the date/time stamped onto the image:

If you use the direct print capabilities of the camera when connected to a compatible printer (PictBridge, CP, or DirectPrint are all supported), you are able to enable an option that will print the image with the date/stamp printed on the image. There are also software packages that you can use that will do the same when printing from the computer.

And finally, it is possible, with some photo finishers, to request that they imprint the shooting date/time on the image. This will vary from photo finisher to photo finisher, and the will be some who can't, or won't, do this.
