I'm sorry, but I don't think so. There is a key that pops out when you lock it so I doubt the door can be reversed.

See page 8 of this manual under Optional Features and reversing the door swing is not listed.

On the positive side, it does have a high consumer satisfaction rate.

Turn the interior temperature control back on by setting at approx halfway between "off" and "coldest". (Make certain the branch circuit is hot - you should hear the compressor turn on when you set the control, possible an interior light will come on as well).

If the freezer does not run, check to see if you accidiently pulled the flash defrost plnger (if equipped). (See age 8 in your manual).

Is it possible that the error code is missing characters? According to my research 8 is not a valid error code. The number 8 is more like a temperature setting, however to be certain, let's try resetting the appliance. It is important to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn the unit on. Set the correct temperature and please allow 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize. The error code should clear and the unit resume to normal operations. If the condenser coil is clean and the unit is in an area where the ambient temp. is 80 degrees or less, it is most likely a refrigerant problem. Probably low and has a leak. Another issue could be that the line sizes for the distance the refrigerant has to travel, may be wrong. Since I don't know the distance, you may need to have that checked into also. You should not have more than a 1-2 psi drop due to line size and distance traveled.

Whenever you get a frig or freezer delivered it is best to wait at least 24hrs (some say 8 hrs) before you plug in. It maybe unknown to you if this was shipped to you in the laying down postion. If it was and you plugged in it will not work because laying down the oil migrated away from the compressor.

Other than that the freezer could have (possible chance but still possible) problems that are out of your control. If you brought it at a retail store you have at least 2 weeks to exchange. Do that a.s.a.p.

Dirty condenser, condenser fan motor is not running, freezer overpacked, bad thermostat, evaporator ice build up and it blocks the air flow. evaporator fan motor is not running or sealed system problem.

Just fixed a similar model from Electrolux. It's not the fan that was faulty, but its transformer on the pcb. The fan has its own pcb, a small one on the left side and is controlled via 230V from the main board. It's easy to remove, turn around and measure.

typical defrost set up 8 times a day (24hrs)
duration about 20mins for the size you have described.
defrost stop temp should be 20 C
recovery time about 10 mins

so pls consult manuals and rest parameters.
