I dont know how to delete from my mp3 player
You can either use the software that came with it, windows media player, or just explorer...plug in the device then when it shows up in what ever you decided to use you view the files on the device...then usually a right click and delete...thats it...if you have some player this doesnt work with repost with the model/make and ill get you some more specific instructions :)

Simple. If you want to delete a certain tune do the following: 1. Connect it to the coputer. 2. Click on "My computer" 3. Click on the Sansa icon 4. Browse the folders and delete the files you don't want. If you want to delete the entire disk 1. Connect it to the computer. 2. Click on "My computer" 3. Right Click on the sansa 4. Click on Format. Let me know if it helped. D.

go to my computer and click on the gpx audio player icon. go to songs right click and delete
SOURCE: delete
The MUSIC folder is a "hidden" folder when in MSC mode.
To view it (assuming you're using Windows XP) go to:
My Computer>Tools>Folder Options>View Tab.
Scroll down till you see Hidden Files and Folders
and click on Show Hidden Files and Folders, and then OK.
You should then be able to see all the folders on your Sansa. The
"hidden" folders will appear slghtly lighter in color. This is where
you can delete click on folder then go toleft of screen to "delete this
folder" (or open folder and click individual song" then go to left of
screen

You can't directly. You have to attach the player to a computer with the included USB cable and delete the files from there. If you're using a windows based OS, the player will show up as a USB drive within File manager.
Hope this helps,
