All pictures are blurry.................. it is blurry even before snapping it.

The zoom does NOT zoom in...you have to stand 10ft back and zoom out and MAYBE it will come out clear.

I did EVERYthing listed in the trouble shooting section of the booklet that pertained to this in ANY way.

    Thanks

LCD is Blank when Camera is on.

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:

Canon s230 Blank LCD screen...no pictures

Bad news :this is a CCD sensor problem and gets progressively worse ; eventually the sensor outputs nothing and you will get no image in capture mode at all ( note that you can review pics that were captured properly , but can not capture new images without distortion ). This is a  4 mega pixels CCD sensor from a Canon camera :

Camera wont take pictures

When you say that it won't take a picture, does it at least create a file on the memory card, a file of a totally black image? If yes, I had the same problem with my Canon A80. The problem was that the shutter's motor was broken. At first it was intermittent and it became permanent after a while. A repair shop changed it, and the camera has been working great since then.

Rings On The Picture

Perhaps your camera flash reflected off a glass window directly back into the lens? Many camera lenses will capture "ghostly" reflections of the lens elements when a bright light shines directly into the lens. If you aim at the sun, you may also see spots or rings. Depending on the makeup of the camera lens (number of lens elements, types of coatings, etc) you may see spots, crescents, circles, or blobs of irregular shapes and colors in the final photo. Experiment to see if you can cause this behavior again, but don't look directly into the sun. Some photographers like the effect, others don't. Cal
