Hi, you can hook the router to your computer using a standard Ethernet cable (the one with connectors that look similar to phone jack connectors, but a little wider). You should have an Ethernet port on the back of your computer, and you can connect the cable from there to the Ethernet LAN port on the router.
Can you get a pc to connect to the internet? If you can, what IP address does HUGHES assign? If it is in the range of 192.168.0.X then change the DEFAULT GATEWAY address of the router to something like 192.168.10.1 (out of the box it should be set to 192.168.0.1)
