The Jensen MV9412 7" fold out head unit in my car reset after my battery died and now it is asking for a password. The head unit was put in before I bought the car, and I have tried 012345 and other basic combinations and it still won't work.

Hi, what you want to do is just connect the speaker wires from the head unit straight across to the pre-amp inputs of the amp. If you have a sub, also connect the pre-amp outputs of the head unit to the 2 sub inputs of the amp. Connect the blue wire of the head unit to the turn-on terminal of the amp and connect power wires to both units. May I ask what speakers are you using?

Try resetting the unit by pressing the RESET button on the bottom right corner of the front panel.

their should be a little reset button on it some where pop a pin in it for a minute it sould work

One of these ways will work. Try this first. Remove the negative battery cable and leave it off for 5 minutes. Hook it back up and then enter the correct code. If that does not work, just turn the radio on, and drive around for one hour. The radio will reset itself and you will then be able to insert the code.
