Garmin Nuvi 760 memory card

get a memory card and install the full maps.

Hi,

Was the SD Card formatted using the built-in format function of the Garmin nuvi 760? If, not pls try, if yes, pls try another card or the same card to another device that can make use of such type of memory card.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

The garmin maps are copy protected and are registered to your device.
You may be able to pick one on a memory card off ebay cheaply especially if you do not want the very latest version.

I left the Garmin in passive mode and had just the phone do a search for new bluetooth devices and it worked fine. So my advice is , if the Garmin instructions don't work, try this method.

The only way to get rid of that, would be to contact Garmin customer support, tell them of your issue, and get a new flash card

If you did not buy it 'new in the box', you will have to refer to the 'activation' code sent to you email.
The Garmin Nuvi 760 does not require SD card maps if you are using it in the US, btw...
