Make sure that your ground connection is secure. Make sure there aren't any blown fuses.

I have a kicker 500.2 red protection light is on and red light on top of amp flashes every couple seconds. Have checked all connections and other amp in truck works good. I bought two of these amps and...

Disconnect all the wires except the three main power wires, ground, 12v battery and remote. Now, turn on your radio, if the protect light is still on then there's an internal short in the amp. If the light turns green, then there's a short in either the auxiliary cables or the speaker outs. If it turns green, then troubleshoot the other wires that plug into the amp by connecting them one at a time until the protect light comes on, which will tell you that there's a problem with that speaker/aux wire.

Check the impedance of the speaker to be sure that it matches the output of the amp. Common error on this detail can cause the amp to overheat and shutdown/protect.

MY KICKER ZX 750.1channel amp "FLIP FLOPS" from protected mode(red light) to normal (green light) every 2 seconds.

Are you getting any sound output at all from amplifier?
Is there a popping or banging coming from speaker?
It could possibly be a faulty output mosfet that is ocillating cause DC to leak onto the speaker output causing it to flip into protect.
please advise

Protection light lights up for a second and turns off and the amp seems like it is not working. It is connected and wired correctly.

disconnect the speakers from the amplifer, and turn the system on again. if the protection light still is active even without the speakers hooked to it, then it is most likely that you have a blown transistor in either the power supply section, or the output section.

Either way, your amplifier will need to be serviced.
