If you have a good black and white picture then your tuner is fine, and tuners only cost about $25 so even if it was your tuner it can easily and inexpensively be replaced. The color in the picture is developed in the main signal IC which uses a chroma crystal. If you have correctly set the color and tint controls and the main signal IC is getting good clock and data signals and you still have no color in the picture, then that main signal IC or chroma crystal will probably have to be replaced and that should be done by an experienced tech.

There are no bulbs inside this set to replace. This TV set is all solid state. That means it uses transistors and IC's to work. If the color is not there you could have a bad tuner assembly in this TV set and to replace that would cost you more then the TV set is worth. Sorry. Good Luck

Just replaced burnt out bulb in Infocus 4805 projector. Great picture with new bulb but only black and white. Is this a bulb issue or something else in the projector?

This is most likely the color wheel. When the bulb blows, it can damage the color wheel. The color wheel is a wheel composed of thin layers of colored glass that spins in front of the projected image. It is possible to repair it with super glue, but the best way is to try to find a new one to buy.

Samsung DLP HLN5065W tv Black & White Picture

Yes,the problem is the colors wheel it dead. That one of the cause by the colors wheel, other are alots of squiling noises and making very loud buzzing sound. The cooling fan that u think is overheating, does it stop sometimes, when the tv is still on?Yes,than replaced it also,no than it still ok.Just hire the tv repairman, the parts he'll take care of it,don't order the parts,u might get the wrong parts or different sizes, that will not fit in ur tv.

Projects in black and white

It's probably the color-wheel problem. Maybe the color-wheel stucked because of dust and/or color-wheel sensor is covered with dust.

The simple way to check this, without reinstalling drivers or so, you just tap menu button on remote. If you will see only black-white user interface it is definitly color-wheel.

Good luck.

I need to know what colors mean what, so i can hook my cd player up

Red - Power
Yellow - primary power must be joined to the red
blue - Remote
Black - ground or negative
To find your speaker wires check the color of the cord behind each speaker than match it with the same color in the dash.
or the easy way is to use a normal 1.5v penlight battery and try each speaker cord behind the dash and listen to which speaker give off a crackling noise so you can get the balance on the cd player right.
If u trying to find power in the car and don't have a tester than get a 12v light or bulb join the negative to the body and push the positive wire into each one of the holes in the factory plug in the dash one at a time until the light comes on. That is your positive the rest is easy. (DIY guru)

CONTRAST ADJUSTMENT

it is best to shut the color level to the lowest setting then try t balance the screens to achieve the best black and white picture. then turn up your color level. Your brightness level should also be set to 50 % then when you adjust for the best B&W picture. You will have better color and brightness when you reset your color and brightness levels.

I am further looking into ur problem..

Goodluck..

Screen B&W only: Same as other poster

Screen works you get a black and white image. The colour stage works you get colour output to TV So my guess is the ribbon connector from motherboard to screen is loose or adrift. Is this something you fell you can fix or 'know a man that can?'
