I powered off my phone a couple days ago to save battery life, when I tried to turn it on it would not power back on. I hooked to charger to make sure that wasn't the problem. The red light on the bottom of the phone comes on to show its charging, but still wil not power on. The phone and battery are both less than a couple months old and I've never had any problem with them before.

hello. The problem is not your phone battery the problem is from your phone power ON button. What you need to do is that unscrew the phone with phone screw then service the panel with cottonwood and spirit then dry it up with electric bob for some time, after all this then couple it up and charge your phone battery then you will be able to enjoy you phone again. Please note,if you can not do these your self candidly take it to a good phone work shop around you to do the servicing for you. Good luck.
i had this problem with a razor.
if the phone has never had any kind of damage - water/impact.
AT&T reccommended that I should turn off phone my phone for atleast 10 minutes a day.
The proper way of charging the battery on your phone is by waiting for your phone to indicate that it's running out of powe but not completelyr, if you frequently charge your phone even if it's not yet necessary(battery life indicator show half-way) the ability of the battery to store power will deminished hence the battery life is shorter. Last resort would be trying another battery unit to test if it's your battery of your phone that's causing the unsual battery drain.
Or you can try the following steps on conserving your phones battery life;
Turn off your Infrared and BlueTooth when not in use. Even when they are not in use, they do keep drawing power looking for signals.
Switch off the vibration alerts. Vibration causes a lot of power usage thereby making battery drain fast.
Re-adjust your screen brightness to around 50%. Screen power is another silent killer.
Usually, presetted Backlight durations are of pretty high order, this can be readjusted to get more from your battery. Try reducing the Backlight duration.
Often we don’t understand that playing games requires Light, Sounds and Shakes. This in turn leads to tripling of battery drainage.
Lower Ringing and other message sounds. This too helps saving a lot of battery.
Finally, do charge your battery before it gets drained fully. This enhances battery life.
My Kyocera phone has been beeping every 5 minutes for several days. The only way I could make it stop was to turn my phone to silent, but then I missed all my calls and texts. I finally called my carrier and they told me how to fix it. I had to take the battery out while the phone was turned ON. After removing the battery, I had to hold the send button down for 15-20 seconds (while the battery was still out), then replace the battery and turn the phone back on. This apparently resets the phone. I waited 30 minutes before posting this solution, and the phone has not beeped again!!!
you should try to do a hard reset.
While holding down on the far left (calendar) and far right (iTask) press in on the reset button (reset hole) with your stylus for about 2-3 seconds. The Pocket PC should reset and power back on. If the device does not power back on, make sure that the battery lock switch is to the left (locked).
