Hi there every time i try and print on a cd/dvd the tray dosent feed or move my paper light flashes red and i get a error message on screen saying cd tray not set correctly all settings are correct and i have purchased a new cd tray but still the same problem could anyone please help thanks
I had the same problem. My printer was sitting too far back in the cabinet and the cd tray was hitting the back wall when it was pulling it throuh. I moved the printer forward and the obstruction in the back was no longer an issue. It started printing all cd's just fine.

Try cleaning the feed rollers at the front of the opening with some platten clean. The rollers pick up dirt and loose their ability to grip the tray as it feeds. Make sure the leading edge of the tray is straight. If your tray has the clear plastice strip at the leading edge they can get creased and will fail to load without intervention As a last resort push the tray as it feeds in.

There are rollers that cling on to the paper and move it through the
machine. When the rollers are worn down they do not grip the paper. For a short
fix you can get something rough like sandpaper, brillo pad, etc, and gently
scratch the rollers to give them some traction. This will temporarily solve your
problem until you can get the rollers replaced.
also if rollers are seen to be very clean and proper as new.then it can be paper pulling gears at the side of the rollers.if the gears are worn out from 1 side it will pull the paper but not in a proper way.in this case also rollers needs to be replaced, becasuse roller are not available in spare they come attached to the rollers.but a local printer repair shop can provide the only spare rollers as thay have it from old junk printers.
thanks.
