Replacement jar Broke the plastic jar by accidently turning on machine while stick was inside jar. Can I get a replacement plastic jar?

I was able to find a replacment jug on internet about 6 months ago though I do not remember the source. Replacments are out there but you muct dig deep.

I'd be tempted to try the smallest amount of olive oil, applied with a paper towel to both surfaced worked into threads. You need very very little. Alternatively get some different jars!
You can get food safe grease but it's very expensive and usually used industrially

I broke something when I was putting the jar on my bosch MMB1000 blender and then it didn't start after that. I thought that I had broken the safety and when I open it up I saw a small broken plastic thing...

Without seeing the part that is broken it is hard to say what exactly the problem is. But it sounds like it is one of the safeties. Look on the bottom of the jar to see if you can see where the plastic broke off of. If not then the plastic is probably the safety inside of the lower part of the unit.

You don't need to replace the entire jar assembly. Have you tried to contact Kitchensid. They make high quality appliances and will probably send you new blades for $0.

Plastic pieces on glass jar and base are worn out and shaved down

I did the same thing. Order parts at thegourmetdepotco.com -- This problem is caused when you put the rubber gasket underneath the blade instead of above it. This causes two problems: 1. It lifts the teeth on the jar away from the teeth on the drive gear, which can grind down and break off the teeth, and 2. If the drive gear contacts the rubber gasket, it will melt the rim of the drive gear. In the future, to reassemble the jar after cleaning, first put the rubber gasket on the jar, then the blade, lastly screw on the base ring.
