I have the manuals for this Toshiba (TAC0069) but -as I recall from my days as a Toshiba Authorized -- Toshiba sometimes provided a Theory of Operation manual for a chassis series. Is there such a manual for this?
Specifically, I want to understand the process of determining the sync rates of the incoming signal. How the circuit responds, switching the horiz and vertical rates.
I read somewhere that there are eeprom values that if scrambled or lost can drastically affect the picture. I believe they are accessable and alterable through the service menus. I ran across a website somewhere (sorry) that had some values from other peoples sets. The values are custom per set -

Whgat you should have done was to take off the red tube socket and put that socket on the rear of the red tube onto the green tube. If the green worked then you know the green tube was good and the driver was bad. If a set is over 6 to 10 years old, and if you replace one tube, It will never get a good grey scale(B&W). I hope you didnt replace the tube when a driver was bad!
