Hi.
Somehow I seem to have managed to completely disable the audio on my K800i. I have just started to use the # key to enable/disable silent mode but now no matter what I do I can't seem to get any audio out. Trying to select different ring tones just gives me the message 'cannot play this sound'.
Help!!
Cheers.

Did you try Fn+F5? You can usually disable the touchpad but keyboard? Try to uninstall the keyboard from device manager. Right-click on my computer->Properties->Device manager-Right-click on keyboard(HID keyboard device) and uninstall it. Then reboot your computer if you just disabled it windows will re-install the driver automatically and re-enable it
Here is a suggestion : On desktop go to ::
my computer----mouse right click----properties----system----device management. There you can find symbols for all devices that are already installed on your system . Scroll down until you find the definition of your audio device software , for example , if your audio driver software is a realtek then right mouse click on it , then you'll find disable , just disable it and then uninstall the audio driver software ! After that you should restart your system . When system started again , install the software again , and restart the system once again . Now you should hear the operating system starting tone .. If you didn't hear the tone , then go to device management again and enable the audio device once again .
good luck .

Hi, You can usually disable your onboard sound card by going into your BIOS setup when your PC starts. Older mother boards have a jumper setting on the board to disable onboard sound. If you cannot do either of these, then just disable your onboard card in "device manager" Best wishes, Graemevm
Hi I am Vortash I am not 100% sure but I think youre sound maybe just disabled in the system configuration .. heres how to check ... select .. Start ..,.. Settings Control panel Device Manager ( in XP you will have to select system first then device manager from the dropdown directory ) vista is easier . When in device manager select sound and audio controlers click on the + sign and a menu will drop down of the items in that system .. can you see the name of an audio sound card ( if it is disabled a question mark or an arrow will be by the side of it ) there click on it and then right click your mouse click properties and read what it says dont alter anything at this stage .. Hopefuly it will say that .. This device is working .. if it does go straight to the X and close the box if not click on driver tag at the top .. half way down you will see tag that says enable click on it then close the box shut the computer down and restart .. your sound should be back on if you enabled the tag if it didnt and you exited without enabling anything .. check that this bluetooth device is not on and shutting your sound off in the windows command by going to the bluetooth program and exiting bluetooth mode that should be in device manager again and you treat it the same as you did the sound card only this one you disable .. and then try your sound.. I hope this works for you good luck Regards Vortash .....
(. PS dont disable anything else in Dev Man or you could have loads more probs lol .. )
You can find all your network connections switches on the menu under manage connections. there you can turn on the wirelless network connection. The icon for the manage connections should be an antena with radio waves arround it
#1, see if it somehow disable or muted your sound card.
Look in Device Manager for the disabled indication, go to control panel for audio controls to see if the mute was turned on.
If it is enabled, and the mute is not on, I would try reloading the drivers for your audio card.
Shockwave is usually a very unobtrusive software, so this is kind of unusual.
First disable sata native support because after installing xp and restarting will crash it.so disable sata native support now when installation of window xp is complete ,reboot the computer and enter bios and select the first boot device to hard disk and also disable cd rom boot to disable .by doing this when computer starts it will start with hard disk and not with cd rom .
