The front cover on my T7 no longer turns the camers off and on. I know the switch went wonky, but I cant figure out how to remove the cover so I can look at the switch. I removed the 6 screws holding the case together but it binds at the top on the battery cover side. I guess I could use my Channel-Loks, but there must be a gentler solution.
I was pretty rough with opening the case, but i got it off. just wiggle a lot and i found the back came off easier than the front.

It is only six screws, and you have to GENTLY wiggly the front cover off....Start at the bottom, and wiggle side to side to get it unattached at the top of the panel. I just got mine off. I'm having black screen problems....

Exact same problem here with the lens cover. It says it's closed when it is NOT. I'm completely attached to my camera but I have had it since December 2005 :( Repair costs are UP there.
