Question about Crunch BlackMaxx BMX2250 2 Ch 1000W Amp Car Audio Amplifier
I recently installed a Crunch BlackMaxx BLX2250 in my car. It played fine for two days and then all of a sudden there was no sound. But randomly it will thump wheter the RCA's are hooked up or not. I've checked all the wires, there are no bad connections. I've even checked the voltage with my meter. Could there be a short in the remote wire? Or does the Red Light mean that the Amp is blown?
I have the same problem as mike, how to get it reset?

The red light means the amp is in protection mode. A few things can cause protection mode..... First disconnect the subs completely from the amp, and turn it on, if it powers up you have blown subs. Also try checking the main power wire at the battery...sometimes the current your meter is seeing is backfeeding from the remote wire, so your main power line could be blown at the fuse under the hood. hope this helps
