Question about Toshiba e400 Pocket PC
My HP Pavillion 9000 crashed, was repaired under warranty. After starting all over again I am unsuccessful at establishing relationship between the HP and the Toshiba E400. I also have an E350 that has the same problem.
I have an older Compaq Presario that I have that I am willing to for sync-ing if that is necessary. My favorite is the Fujitsu B Series LIFEBOOK. But none of them seem to be able to communicate with either PDA.
Oh. Yes. The HP is Vista.

As far as I know you can define the new name and use PDA without any problem. This is not a kind of problem. Create a new name and make connection. You will be also able to remove all old PDA names.

SOURCE: Error message: "Unable to establish a secure connection"?
This error can occurs because the VeriSign Certificate Authority (CA) has changed the hashing algorithm that is used for new Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) server certificates from Message Digest 5 (MD-5) to Secure Hash Algorithm 1 (SHA1). A supported fix is now available from Microsoft for Windows CE 2.11 and Pocket Explorer 3.0 this fix can be found at: http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/handheldpc/downloads/128bit.asp Note: After you have downloaded and installed the fix, be sure to soft reset the device.

SOURCE: sync toshiba pda to pc w/vista
I also have had this problem.
If you allow the Windows Mobile Device Center to install through the automatic updates, it works for the most part. I've gotten it to actually sync both from the pc to the pda and vice versa. However, it is a little finicky; it takes about 4 attempts before the sync is happy.

SOURCE: cant establish wired connection
When you hooked up your connection to the PS3, did you reboot your modem and or router before doing so?
This will clear the memory of those two and allows the PS3 to gain its own IP and MAC address. Try this and see if it helps.

SOURCE: Lifebook P1510D network connection
i had the same problem, i had to install the updates on the "drivers and applications restore cd". however that didnt work. so i had to download the 1.030 driver from the fujitsu web site. this worked. but when i tried to calibrate the tablet i was not able to get it aligned.
there used to be 2 different programs for updating the tablet, but now i cannot find the other one.
