Question about Kodak EasyShare DX7630 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Picture screen I bought my Kodak DX7630 about 2 years ago and i really like the camera it takes great pics but now the scrren to which i can review my photos seems to be going out. On the left hand side there are a couple of big white marks and it seems as if the screen is going out and the white marks seem to be getting bigger. They dont show up on pics when i print them or transfer them to my computer but just on the screen.

When taking pics with my kodak c913 the lcd screen is black and you can not see what you are taing pic of. It all works. When taking a pic the flash will even work. when reviewing the pics it is still...

If you can check previous pics and menu settings there, isn't a problem with the LCD screenviewer; sound like a problem with the CCD Image Sensor problem.

Check the link and keep us updated.

Lcd screen does not show what your taking picture of

Turn the camera on. Press the display button (second button down right next to the LCD (Labeled LCD/info) to turn on the LCD. Make sure you are not in review mode. Here is a link I am sure you will find helpful (its what I used to solve this problem)

The picture-taking display is unclear and pinkish

Check if this is in all the SCN.
If this is on the printed pics also or just on the LCD.

If this is an intermittedly problem if there is a pattern in the occurance.

Kodak easyshare DX 7630 screen black in take a picture mode but is fine in review etc

Hey Wistra,
You could try resetting your camera to the factory settings by choosing the reset to default setting in the menu. If this doesn't work the sensor on the camera is most likely broken, and you should have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician. If the camera was purchased less than a year ago the repair would most likely be covered under manufacturers’ warranty. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan

Kodak CX7330. turns on but LCD screen is black and won't take a pic

It sounds like a bad connection on the ribbon cable of the LCD screen to the camera's motherboard. The fact that when you physically move the camera around and you can get the screen to then work, tells me something is loose inside.

Good luck!

Viewing is fine, taking pictures is not

This sounds like what started happening with my camera a few weeks ago. I found that turning the LCD screen off during picture-taking allows me to take pictures. I then have to go into review mode to look at the pictures I took using the LCD screen. Definitely not a great fix. I'm trying to locate a firmware upgrade that may solve it.
