Question about Sony NW-A1000 MP3 Player
HI, CAN ANYONE OUT THERE HELP ME BEFORE I THROW THIS SONY PLAYER OUT OFF THE WINDOW!!!!! WHEN I TURN THE PLAYER ON IT JUST HAS A DISC SPINNING ON THE SCREEN AND AFTER A FEW MOMENTS SWITCHES IT'S SELF OFF. I'VE TRIED BANGING IT & DROPPING IT BUT STILL NO LUCK... PLEASE HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS..................................
firstly all the tracks you want must be converted into mp3 format. You can get hold off mp3 converter software such as Power and winlame. also all the tracks you want has to be imported into the Connect Player software. you should have a cd that comes with the player, it is similar to iTunes with the iPod. i think you can possibly download it from the sony website. when you have them both convert the tracks into mp3s and then import them into the Connect player. From Connect you will be able to transfer the music across. Hope it helps

your hard drive is dead, you are going to need to buy a new one, you can buy micro drives off ebay of about £30 of you could take it to a sony repair center but that is going to cost.

SOURCE: Replacing Sony NW-A1000 battery
Using a pair of pliers grab the silver loop on the back of that player. This is pulled up and backwards at an angle. it is held on by an adhesive pad. Once that is off the back just slots off like many mobile phone backs. Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!
