Question about Baumatic B180 Electric Single Oven

1 Answer

What do I do now that the temperature markers have been scrubbed off??

Thanks to some over zealous tenants with a scrubber I now have a Baumatic 180 SS that has next to no display markers on the fascia. I can't tell what temperature the oven should be set at or what programme to set it on... I have to guess!! Does anyone have a photo of where the markers should go as the handbook detail is so small I can't work it out! Seons

My Baumatic BS65MS oven is cooking too hot, it burns everything. I have turned down the temperature, this doesn't help. What would be the problem?

You may have a stuck thermostat and that should be replaced because he's probably telling the other keep eating even though the temperature the temperature would be correct

think your new oven is too hot or too hot or too cold, you can adjust the temperature yourself to meet your specific cooking preference. You can also adjust your thermostat if your oven is not new, since thermostats may "drift" from the factory setting over time. See the "Adjust the Oven Thermostat"

I'm a landlord and my tenant's oven will not heat up to the proper temperature intermittently. I had a guy come out and test the oven and it works fine, yet my tenant is still complaining the oven is not...

Absolutely. That is the first thing I would think that would cause such a fluctuation of temperatures. BUT if it is a gas oven (WITH A PILOT FLAME) then FIRST consider the thermocouple needing to be changed. If the thermocouple keeps faulting it will shut off gas sporadically and keep the gas off until it resets temporarily on its own.

I have a baumatic bc3510ss double oven. everything works fine except the large oven. you can turn on the grill or oven but when you turn on the temperature the rcb blows on the fuse box.

Tthere are a couple of possibilities for your prob, the thermostat, or the oven element is faulty.
Disconnect the oven element, and try it again, if it does not trip, replace the element, if it still trips, replace the stat.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

Baumatic b180 oven

The oven cabinet is likely built for several different models, which means that the case could have been built with an extra hole or two that aren't used on your model. This a normal manufacturing technique for mass-product factories. I see from the Baumatic website that several of their models do use a meat thermometer probe, but even if you bought a probe you couldn't use it your oven. Your model doesn't have the correct circuit board and control panel that the oven needs to use the probe. In any case, if you need to order parts from the manufacturer or would like a downloadable Owners Manual for your model, they are available at this website link: http://www.baumatic.co.uk/products/discontinued-models/builtinovens/B185SS-B Hope that helps! ;)
