Kenmore Oasis Dryer Model #110.67072600 has worked fine. The other night I heard some beeps. Turns out the dryer was turning itself on, beeping one or more times and then turning itself off again. I unplugged it for the night. When I plug it in, it does the same thing. Sometimes I can get the dryer to start, but then it shuts off in a few seconds. Is my control panel fried? The dryer is only 14 months old.

Re: Dryer turns itself on & beeps, then off again
Aye, see if you can enter the diagnosis mode. What we are looking for is the F-02 code. This will flash when there is a stuck button or user interface problem and only displayed in the test mode. With the unit plugged in and all indicator lights off, select any button except stop. Press for 3 seconds, release for 3 seconds, press for 3 seconds, release for 3 secnds and press for 3 seconds. If you did it right 88 should appear. Press the same button again and if there is a error, it should show up. If no error code shows, open the consol and check the p-5 connector. This will be the interface ribbon to the board. Reseat it and see if the problem stops. Catriver

I have the kenmoe Oasis he and out of no where this machine wont work. You push the start button and select and that is it 'Nothing" you have to unplug it and start over again but the same thing will happen "nothing" and plus the water wont drain! I feel this is a rip off machine. house wife
We had this error on our machine for about a year before we finally got sick and tired of it. Our dryer was purchased in 2006.
Here is the solution: the code means there is an error on the thermistor. Our thermistor was loose, as were other electrical wires. My husband tightened up all the connections and the thermistor, and we have never had this error again.
However, we will never buy these machines again either, because we have had numerous other errors on the washer and dryer.
after haveing read through some blogs here, the F02 code is either a short in the interface board or the ribbon is loose. I'm having a similiar problem, mine started beeping all by itself, when it was not even turned on, am presently running a load through and is doing fine so far, also, I had unplugged the dryer last night, not sure if that helped but so far is working properly, other advise I read was to make sure the ribbon was seated properly, next step for me will be to do that then order the part (?), sorry I can't be more helpful
