If you open up the dispenser tray on the top of the machine, there should be a red cord. This is the manual release for the door. All you have to do is pull this cord and the door opens. If the cord is missing, you will need to remove the top of the washer to get to the latch. I hope this helps you.

This model has gone through different control board revisions, could be control board related, service mode would have to be accessed to have machine run thru self-diagnostics. if it does not agitate on self-diag mode, unit needs board
Turn the machine off and then on. Enter the Service Mode by pressing the Chime and Exrta Rinse keys for 3 sec. Display the Diagnostic Codes by pressing the Rinse and Spin key. Clear the codes by pressing the Delay and Chime keys for 3 sec. Turn the machine off, unplug and plug in the power cord.
Try unplugging the washer for at 30 minutes to reset the computer, first. If this proves unsuccessful, you can retrieve you clothes by using the manual release. The following link explains how:
Once you retrieve your clothes, try running diagnostics on it. You can envoke the diagnostic sequence by selecting DRAIN/SPIN, NO/SPIN and then pressing any button under OPTIONS 4 times (must be the same button). The display should go to "C00" as the washer begins a sequence of tests that checks the fill functions, door lock, dispenser functions, motor speed, spin and drain. Allow the washer to run through the entire sequence and shut off. If anything is wrong an error code should be generated. Hopefully, all you had was a minor glitch. Let me know how things turn out. I hope this helps you.
take the front lower cover off and there is
a tech sheet in there look at it and it will tell ya what the code is
for and how to correct it I cant remember this code off the top of my
head and all the brands have different codes.I have about 5 three ring
binders of tech sheets in my van if you cant find it i will look it up
for you once you find this sheet clear the code and run it through
diag.mode the sheet will tell you how to put in in self or automatic
try auto. good luck
After following all the suggestions in the Guide, (press chimes and extra rinse for 3 seconds etc.) all it did was gave more codes not listed in the guide.I tried unplugging it for 15 minutes and plugging it back in. I moved on in the guide and checked to see if the hoses were kinked or obstructed. Then AFTER UNPLUGGING the washer I removed the back panel, it was very easy, only 2 screws. I looked at all of the wires and where they connected and made sure they were all "plugged in all the way". One wire was connected but not "all the way snug". I pushed it snug, never thinking that this could make any real difference, replaced the panel , plugged it back in an it now works as always.
Iv, did you check the pump to see if it's jammed? The SC indicates there is a failure in the washer. While you are in the service mode, press the rinse and spin button while rotating the cyle select knob one click. A d should show in the display. Rotating the knob again will show the latest error code. When you get the code post back or e-mail me at [email protected] and I will try to get to the bottom of it...Catriver.
Art, it's possible something is jammed in the pump causing your problem. See if you can put it into a service mode. Power off and on and press chime and xtra rinse together for 3 seconds. Now to do a quick service cycle press temp and soil level together. The washer should take off and do a self diag. It will run the water valves, tumble, dispenser, drain and high spin if you entered it right. If everything passes you will get a PA in the display. If not you will get the error code. You can advance through this test by pressing the spin speed button. If any error codes come up post back and we will try to get to the bottom of it. Catriver..post back.
Riostar, F11 is a serial communication error. Communication between the main board and the motor control board is not being sent correctly. This could be a bad main board, motor control board or motor itself. The testing can get pretty involved. Try putting the machine in a self test mode and see if the error clears. Press Cancell, then by pressing the drain spin button once on the left side then move to the spin speed button the the right. Press this button until no-spin lights. Press the prewash button 4 times. C00 should appear in the display. Let it run it's tests, there will be 8 of them and end up on C08. If this doesn't work, it's best you wait for the service tech. Catriver...post back.
