Earpiece sound silent volume 7 sounds like a volume 2 or 1
Hello, I changed the full cover of my g-friends v3 phone because her buttons started to smell like copper. Now her ear piece speaker is really silent. Like her volume 7 sounds like volume 2. I tried moving the speaker around but it does not want to get any louder. Can it be the little batter near the speaker? or what can it be?
thanks,
-Chris

Re:
Hi,
just remove the cover and check the speaker volume.. may be some new plastic coating an the new cover will be blocking the sound from coming outside properly.
If it is not the case then please do come back
all the best

As per my understanding you have set your ring style profile to loud and highest volume 7 but still ur phone phone rings on silent when someone calls..
Please change the Profile setting once again as mentioned below:
How to change call alerts and styles?
1.From the general menu, select "Settings" > "Ring Styles" >
"Style Detail" 2.If you select one of the styles, ie. "Loud" you can then highlight by
scrolling down on the wheel & select "loud detail" & press on the
"change" button (top right corner key). 3.Here you will be prompted to change any feature available to the
"loud" style: volume, ringtone, alerts, voice mail, text messaging
sounds, reminders beeps etc etc. All you need to do is to select the
feature you need to change with the directional wheel and press the
"change" button for each.

The Sound Profile only covers call sounds. Sound Profiles This menu allows you to specify how you are informed of incoming calls. Selecting a Profile 1. Touch ➔ Settings ➔ Sound Profile. 2. Use the following procedures to change the profile. Editing the Normal - Call Profile 1. Touch ➔ Settings ➔ Sound Profile ➔ Normal. • Touch the name field and not the radio button to the right. 2. Touch drop-down menu (upper-right of the screen) and select Call. 3. Select the Call Alert Type field and select one of the following and touch Save: • Melody: the phone rings using the ring melody selected in the Ring tone menu. • Vibration then Melody: the phone vibrates and then starts ringing. • Vibration & Melody: the phone vibrates and plays a melody simultaneously. 4. There are a couple of causes:-
1, Faulty Earpiece speaker, change the earpiece...
2, Faulty Ribbon/Flex, it connects the phones main PCB to the screen, the top keypad the front camera and the earpiece, a kink or tear in this can cause any of those to malfunction. Change the ribbon/flex
3, If its only happening when a certain person calls you, the problem could be at their end and they're microphone might be faulty on their handset...
4, Less common but there are IC's that control the sound on the 6500 these could be faulty or have dry solder, these can be either reflowed or replaced.
Sounds to me like you have a stuck key somewhere on your phone. Was it dropped? Or maybe you hit it too hard. Look closely at the buttons on the side of the screen . you know, the ones that normally change your volume when it's open. One of those is malfunctioning in the down or closed position.
