Thanks Master jackboy.... How do I talk to them??? I have absolutely no idea how to go about any of this. What you said makes sense about it being the main flash. That actually seems like the problem. Can that be fixed or would it just be cheaper to buy a new camera???

Is this anew problem digicam flasher are very low energy and only fir for close group work- Will not illuminate a large room for example. But it may be a fault too. perhaps only the anti red eye pre-flash is working and the main flash is not. Check this out with Panasonic tech support team.

My canon powershot s3 IS is taking really dark pictures. The only decent pictures I can take with it are outside in sunlight. Pics indoors come out dark and grainy. I flip up the flash, but most of the...

This is not an answer. The S3 normally does not produce dark pictures, and I have seen this issue before. It has to do with a setting somewhere on that camera that needs to be adjusted. I wish I knew what that setting was/is as my wife's camera has recently started doing this ...

Camera flashes but pictures are too dark

When you take a picture with flash enabled and they still come out too dark, this could mean that you are not standing close enough to the subject, or, that the battery might be defective, or, low.

Another way of correcting this is to use a program for editing pics, which allows you to brighten them manually.

Hope this helps. :)

You should be able to set the flash to off, auto, auto with redeye, slow-shutter sync, and forced flash on. The last two should give you the results you're looking for. If these aren't available in manual mode, get out of manual mode.

My 61" hitachi rear proj has a very dark picture.

It sounds that lamp in TV is weak and not throwing enough light to bright the screen for good image.
How old is this TV and did you replaced its Lamp recently?
If lamp has not been replaced yet or in last 2-3 years, replace it.

The picture come out to dark

This sounds like a very basic question. If you are a basic user, I suggest to move the camera dial to Auto to make sure you have properly exposed pics all the time.

Other things you can do to manually brighten up your photo:
- use lower shutter speed
- use larger aperture (smaller f number)
- use higher ISO
- use artificial light (flash, reflector, etc..)

Sony DSC W50 Camera - Trouble with Flash

Hi, I guess you are using the automatic mode ( not the "P" mode).
You should enable flash only when there is insuffient light. If you use flash in broad day light, your pic will be whited out. If you dont use flash in dark or low light, your pic will be dark or very dark.
So, when it comes of dark, try enabling the flash. If its still dark, increase the flash compensation (the eV value). If its still dark, increase the ISO number.
Hope these help.
cheers,
