I have a Broksonic CTGV-5463TCT 19" TV that is programmed with an RCA universal remote. I hooked up a Cyberhome 300 DVD player and cannot get a menu screen to show up. I have the original remote for this player and the only functions that work are the power on/off and the open/close tray. I don't know how to switch the TV tuner mode to 'aux' or video to play any DVD's.
I have a broksonic and the remote is broken. I have it on Aux and need it on Video. I contacted the company and there is no way to do this without the remote. I had to buy a new remote from them. The cost was almost $25.00. They are sending it to me and I will have TV again. I did tell them that this is a problem that needs addressed to the company and they were not very receptive to that suggestion. The number to call is 1-800-333-9099. Make sure you have your model number. This is what they wrote in an e-mail when I request assistance: "Unfortunately, our models are not compatible with any other manufactures." I took this as to not try any other type remote.

At the present time, RCA universal remotes can not be used for Broksonic TVs. I own a One-for-All universal remote (model URC-4220) which is compatible with your TV. I bought it at Walmart for less than 10 dollars.
Hope these suggestions help you out. Please take a moment to rate this info, by using the rating system below. Thanks.
You can go www.rca.com and locate a code in there universal code section . they have a link for this . If you can not find it let me know what rca remote you have. The remote # is generally on the front or on the battery door cover . I will see if i can find it for you . Also is this just a tv or is it a combo unit? If it is a combo also get the codes for a DVD or VCR if it has one of these built in your tv . Sometimes you have to use the codes for dvd or the vcr . Let me know , thanks
If the AV button is not in your remote, then perhaps it is part of the Ch up/down buttons - meaning right after your last programmed Channel would be AV before the first program Channel.
Although I have yet to come across such a case, I have worked on units/remotes that have this feature of the AV included in the channel memory.
Good luck and kind regards.
