The wash machine will wash fine and will drain all of the water in the tub fine during the spin cycle but will not spin during the same cycle. I have verified that the contact switch is working correctly and you can hear the motor running and vibrating during the spin cycle but you do not witness any spinning activity.
Please provide any other insight...Does the motor operate off of a belt and could there be a broken belt?
I've got the exact same problem. No spinning. Makes the noise like it is spinning, but it is not. Drains all the water out too. You said it was a problem with the gear box and the contacts. What do I look for once I get the front panel off? I replaced the temperature switch and that's when this problem occured. Is it possible I disconnected something?I've got the exact same problem.
