You've got the cables plugged in wrong at the TV end. The green plug is the luinance conductor or the black and white signal, and yyou have it right, but the red and blue are wrong. Check your connections again and make sure all the connections are amde on the same input (comp1, comp2...), and not crossed over such as green plugged into comp 1, and red and blue plugged into comp 2.

No input on a WS-55511 is capable of 720p . Inputs COMP1 and COMP2 ONLY accept 480i/480p . Input DTV accepts 480i/p and 1080i . When using Input DTV with a component connection(YPbPr) and you get a green or no picture then you will need to navigate the menus and setup input DTV for YPbPr instead of RGB.

Considering that you are using both comp with dynamic IP and from same wireless roughter and OS is same from both laptop.
As you are able to ping from comp1 to comp2 and not able to ping from comp2 to comp1 .. check the firewall setting of comp1 or disable the firewall from comp1.

on the remote control, push the left arrow button to display comp1, then the up arrow to display the correct video setting. push the left arrow again to display comp2, then the up arrow again to select the correct video setting.
Same procedure for digital audio (coax1 and coax2)

Please ask the smartbro for the router, from the router then connect to switch, maybe u should by 8 port switch which i recommend the d link or the linksys switch. do you know how to terminate the UTP cable?

In each connection u need a 2 Units RJ 45, You should a crimper to terminate it each end point.

you might have to look for "hidden" hd channels.

most cable companies are broadcasting the local stations unencrypted, so you should be able to receive them and sometimes a few other "basic" hd channels like discovery or tnt.

try googling your cable system, city and hd channels to see if someone has posted a list of channels (eg, 88-1 or 102-1)

Use your comp1 and 2 if they are HD and use video 1&2 if they are not.
