WII remote lights up but wiil not sink

Hey
My WII remote, which worked for two weeks, will not sink for me. Its almost like the sending light has stoped working. I get all the blinks but have no action. Should i be taking this back or is there a reset i can do. Before you tell me all the power disconnect stuff, we have done it all ten times over. I am looking for more of an advanced cure. Thanks for your time.

The screen says to push A and when I do nothing happens. I pushed 1 and 2 on the remote and it does not link up with the console. I have tried this on both remotes. I even tried changing the batteries. I have pushed reset, unplugged the power cord, and everything else I can think of. Nothing Works! Please help, we're addicted to this thing!!!

Hi, Sounds like you need to check the sensor bar. Make sure it is plugged in or if you have a remote sensor bar check it's batteries. If this doesn't work you can clear the console sync info by turning off the console power, unplug the console for a few seconds, plug it back in and turn the power back on. When you get the Health and Safety screen, press and hold the console synchro button for 15 seconds. (the syncro but is the red button located in the little door on the front of the unit) Now resync your wimotes by using the red buttons in the remote battery area and on the console rather than the screen sync. If you need more help let me know as there are other things like a stuck button on a controller to look for. Oh and by the way the blue lites on the remote indicate which player is 1, 2, 3, or 4 and they have to match the player who is up and the number one player is the master controller. Good luck!

My remots arent working

On the front of your Wii console there should be a 'sync' button. Also on your wii remote on the back there will be a small circle button. Press the sync button on your wii console then press the red button on your wii remote. (Under the button it says sync so you will know what button it is) This worked for me, I hope it works for you :)

Good luck!

My wiil remote will not connect to the console when i turn it on the blue light flashes but doesnt not connect

  1. Press the Power button on the Wii console to turn it on.
  2. Remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote you wish to sync up, and press the SYNC button just below the batteries. The Player LED will blink.
  3. Open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii console and press the SYNC button on the inside of the compartment.
  4. When the Player LED blinking stops, the syncing is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 to 4).

This procedure must be followed for each additional Wii Remote added to your system.
hope this helps

Wii remote lights blink but it doesn't turn on or work

Turn The System on and open the slot next to the disk tray Then press the red button after that open the battery.Don't take the batterys out but press the red button next to the batterys. That will get you syncronized and you wiil never have to connect the remotes the old fashion way.Just press 1 and 2 when the console turns on and you wil be ready to play.

Wii remotes have stpped sending signals.

When you first press a button on the Wiimote, how many lights blink? If the answer is 1, then your batteries may be too low. 4 blinking lights mean that you have fully charged batteries.

Other than that, you may want to consult the user manual with regards to re-syncronizing your Wiimote to the console. If you don't have the manual any more, and you have at least two blinky lights, then press the red syncronizing button on the console first, then the corresponding button inside the battery cover on your Wiimote. Reboot the Wii and see if it works.

Good luck!

WII remote

Hey, maybe your Wii is not sensing the remotes movement if there is too much light in the room. Try to sinc the remote to the console and then go to the options and check the sensitivity and adjust if necessary.

You need to be a little more specific. What do you mean by they won't hook in?

Remote malfunction

Do the LEDs light up when you press the buttons on the Wii Remote? Try simply turning off the console, and pressing the power button a couple times firmly on the Wii Remote. If it turns on the Wii, the connection should be established. If it doesn't turn on the Wii, some hardware is defective. Recommend calling Nintendo Support if this happens.
