Question about Samsung Digimax 301 Digital Camera

Samsung 301 Hi, I have a samsung digital 301 camera. I put in new batteries (rechargable batteries) after a while show low battery and switch off. Charge the batteries again. show low battery. I hold the camera with my fingers on the sides a little bit tighter then it show not low battery so I can look at the pictures. Look a little longer at one picture and then it freeze at that picture no matter what I do or what knob I touch it won't go away. So I open where the batteries is and close it again that it be of. Then I try to put it on but nothing. The camera won't go on. Where is the reset knob. What must I do. My pictures is on the camera. Please help me of give me a number to call for repairing. Thanx

    Hi , thank you I will try. I have already put in some other batteries which was new in and it didn't help. But I will try and come back, thanx a lot

Rechargeable batteries, do lose their capacity if recharged when partly down- the best way to discribe it is to say they have a memory- but only remember the last bit to be charged. So put the batteries into a torch or similar and leave on until completely flat and empty- then recharge. So do that and buy some new batteries - a couple of sets of batteries are best to have any way. Make sure they are NiMah and the charger accepts NiMah. Then clean out the contact in the bottom the of the battery chamber with the eraser at the end of a pencil. and the contach on the cap. Do that first then come back.

HI there you need to charged minimum 8 to 12 hours the new battery before use. Otherwise it will show you low batteries. Please confirm me that. Thanks.

are you using NiMh rechargeable batteries?
If yes, check that they are fully charged. If that doesn't do the trick, sounds like it might be a power circuit issue. Samsung is in Secaucus, NJ

Wont switch on
Some cameras have a bettery setting in the menu. You need to make sure this setting is set to the type of batteries you are using. Usually when you use akaline batteries and even if you put in fresh batteries but still get the low battery indication then your camera is set to rechargable (Ni-Mh). Ni-Mh has more power to it then alkaline so this is why you get the low indication.
