Question about Mint Plus Turbo Charging Cradle

Mint Plus Turbo Charging Cradle won't function properly

Trying to use Mint Plus with the Turbo Charging cradle. At first I get the slowly blinking red light, indicating that it's charging. Soon after, I get a series of six quick unhappy beeps and the Mint Plus unit flashes the three red dots. The turbo charge cradle has the solid blue light the whole time.

Cradle and contacts are fine. Cradle circuit is nothing but a reed relay and few wires, relay closes on proximity to robot's body, therefore no voltage on contacts before robot is close to cradle.
There is a thermistor inside of battery, and mine was bad. I removed it and now I am charging the battery from my bench power supply at about 220 ma current, overnight, and it works. Probably the solution is to get a new replacement battery, but the one with the thermistor inside (OEM), easily recognized by the third wire, and all should be fine, assuming that nothing else is wrong with charging circuit or power adapter (12v/1A)
Hope this will give you some ideas of where to poke.
Once successful, please post your solution.

The Mint needs to be reset.Place Mint on charger and press the on/off button and the mop/duster at the same time. After pressing all three you will here a buzz, the alarm should stop and the red light will go on, indicating the Mint is charging. If the alarm goes off reset again. You may have to do this 3 or 4 times. Keep it charged to avoid this issue.

Will it harm the machine to leave it plugged into to the charging cradle all the time? I have a Dyson V6 Stick

I leave mine on all the time, I will unplug it do want I got to do & plug it back on charge even if it is for 1 min. of use & the is still plenty of juice in it & I haven't noticed any problems or loss of power & it runs for the same length of time. However I don't know whether it is using more electricity buy doing this, or it may only draw the power it needs.

Hi, pressing the big red foot button on the dc25 lowers the cleaner to the working position, but it wont stand up again. would appreciate some help. thanks. TC

sounds like the ball cradle is worn out, the springs are too stretched to pull the handle release pedal back into place. you can do one of two things, replace the cradle assy, or just lift the red pedal up when you raise the handle

HELP!!dyson vacuum only 2 years old model DC18 runs but has lost suction on the wand side of the vacuum does anyone have any suggestions for us??

its the ball cradle assembly. There is a little clip that changes the direction of the suction. that clip breaks all the time and causes the internal direction valve to stay in one position. unfortunately dyson doesnt sell these parts separate, you will have to purchase a new cradle assy. let me know if you need a part #

How do u replace belt

Turn the machine over - locate the clamps that hold the cover on and open them. Fold the cover forward toward the front to expose the "belt alley". Lift the roller brush from its cradle. Place the new belt over the pulley on the brush and over the end of the motor. Put the brush back in the cradle. Replace the bottom and re-clamp the snaps.

You may want to clean the hair and string from the brush while you have it out.

Good luck
