SOURCE: I'm using MS Publisher 2007 and pdf creation problem

  1. On the File menu, click Publish as PDF or XPS.
  2. In the File name list, type or select a name for the publication.
  3. In the Save as type list, click PDF.
  4. Next to Optimize for, click Change.
  5. In the Publish Options dialog box, click the optimization in the Specify how this publication will be printed or distributed list that matches the needs of the publication. For example, if the publication will be distributed online and print quality is less important than a small file size, click Minimum size. If the quality of the printing is more important than file size, click High quality printing.
  6. Click Advanced to display the entire dialog box, and select the settings that you need. (Find links to more information on these options in the See Also section.)
  7. Click OK.
  8. In the Save As dialog box, if you want to open the file immediately after saving it, select the Open file after publishing check box. This check box is available only if you have a PDF reader installed on your computer, and if the Commercial Press option is not selected in the Publish Options dialog box.
  9. Click Save.

SOURCE: some of the files needed to play video are missing or corrupt

When that happens you usually need to backup your data, and reinstall the system to fix Windows corrupted files.

Try first doing a system restore to the most recent date before you started having the problem. If system files are damaged this will not help.

SOURCE: Corrupted Money backup files

There are a few things you can do. Manually open up the *.mbf file, does it open?
If it doesn't, the file type *.mbf may not be associated to Money 2007 anymore. Very common.
If the file becomes too large they also become corrupted. It may be possible to export the *.mbf file to Microsoft Excel. Make sure you create a copy of the file before manipulating it.

Actually.... if you have a system administrator. They should have a back up tape, you should already have a path to the file you can give them. They can do a backup and restore of a day or two ago and see if that mbf file was not corrupted as well.

Let me know if I can be of anymore help =)

Good luck!

I want to open powerpoint presentation.

then, go to format -> slide design, choose to show all documents, and choose the corrupt powerpoint file. now, go to insert -> slides from file, and select the corrupt powerpoint file. make sure you are set to insert all slides, and then import. if that works, great! i suspect, however, that you might crash at that point. if so, try repeating the process, inserting specific slides one by one until you find the problem one. after that, save the file, making sure that fast saves are off (in preferences / save).

How to Recover an Excel File for Free

1.Check the Recycle Bin--if you've accidentally deleted the file, it should still be there unless you've emptied the bin, and you can click on the file and recover it.

2.Use the Auto Recovery Pane when you open Excel. Review the document recovery pane. If Excel has managed to recover your file, it will show in a separate pane on the left-hand side. Identify your document in the pane, then click on it and choose "Open" to open the recovered file.

3.Try manually repairing the file. Click on "File" in Excel 2003 or the "Office" button in
Excel 2007, then select "Open" and click on the arrow next to the "Open" button. Click on
"Open and Repair" and choose from two options: click on "Repair" if you want to try to completely recover the file, or click on "Extract Data" if you previously tried Step 1 and it did not work.

4.Search for the file manually on your computer. When performing a system search (click "Start" and select "Search" in Windows XP and Windows 2000, or press the "Windows" button and "F" key in Windows 7 and Vista), make sure you choose "Advanced Search Options" and then check the "System and hidden files" check box. You may be able to find your missing or corrupted file using this search: double-click on the file name in the search results to open it.
