Indesit wil103 makes LOUD banging noise on spin cycle
My washing mashine makes a really loud thudding noise on the spin cycle. Its 3 years old. Was thinkin its the belt, is it easy to replace yourself. It doesnt make any screechin or scraping noises, so i was hoping it wasnt the bearings!

May be the weights that balance the drum vave come loose. there are large bolts that attach them to the drum. do not overtighten them as you risk breaking the posts off.
have a look under the lid. if the weights aren't loose check under the machine for the suspension may be disengaged.
indesit technicians will use a torque wrench to ensure the correct tightness of weight bolts.

Most noises from a washing machine occur during the rinse or spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary. This will solve your problem.
sounds like a balance problem may be when the drum was replaced they didn't fit the new drum in the correct spot the other thing that would cause load banging and excessive vibrations in the machine is if the shockers are worn out, believe it our not even washing machines have shockers to dampen the movement of the drum spinning
Is it a maytag? My maytag front load washing machine had 2 long bolts with plastic braces on them, to keep the drum still during shipping. Mine would bang and shake all over. I got the book out before I finally figured it out. I had to take the back cover off and remove the bolts and plastic braces over them. They look like they' 8 inches long or so. It works great now.
