Question about Durabrand Portable DVD

1 Answer

Durabrand Dual-7C Hi... I have the Durabrand Dual screen 7in portable DVD Player...My unit containing the DVD player will only play in black and white...I adjusted the brightness, like suggested by the company, check all connections, plugged and unplugged, all to no avail...It will only randomly play in color...After spending almost $200 and only having a 15 day return policy on this thing I was wondering if anyone help me? Thanks

It sounds to me as if you are not using the correct video standard, IE: There are two or more principle "Standards" PAL, NTSC, & SECAM... now if the the input you provide is say, PAL and your player etc is set to say NTSC, the pic will play but ya won't have sound and the pic will have no colour.. ie: look sorta B/W. so try your "Settings" and make sure it is correct.

Dual portable dvd player second screen not working

Sounds like it may be a bad linking cable or connection. Make sure you have cables inserted firmly and correctly. If possible, hook main unit to TV to be sure you are getting proper Video/Audio output.

Same as other poster: Player only plays black and white

It sounds like the circuitry which actuates the color drives for the screen are not working, this would ba analogous to adjusting for a B&W picture on a color TV you have color but the screen shows black and white. I would get a schematic for this set and measure the voltages on the color processor that connects to the screen since you know that the external jack has color. If possible I can help you troubleshoot this, if you need me to help out.
