The "Auto Off" setting in the Setup menu will let you select from 30 seconds, one minute, five minutes, or 30 minutes. See the "Using the SET-UP Menu" section of the manual (beginning on page 120 in my copy), especially the "Conserving Battery Power: Auto Off" page (page 133 in my copy). This is a common problem and a fairly easy DIY fix. You can get the parts from www.TvRepairkits.com

go to control panel > power options. Turn off hibernate and sleep mode, change all settings to never sleep and change the setting for "when closing the lid" to "do nothing" sleep mode, hibernation can destroy the registry on these laptops, you are better off turning that garbage off and just letting it run.

helloFive blinks - AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761 and other components on the C board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on the A board. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning up screen slightly.

tv works for about 2 minutes, then shuts itself off. the red standby light flashes 50 times, then the tv. comes back on for approximetly 2 minutes then goes off again, only to repeat again

A thermal fuse may either be defective or IS working correctly due to the set overheating from dust/dirt/poor ventilation. There may be some internal damage from a fall or a move (sudden and sharp shock). Could also be a loose plug/connector.

our monitor is likely to be on power save mode which was set for 30 seconds so please adjust the time it should take before i goes on power save mode.
