Can't play songs on favorites.

Alright this is weird because it worked before. I added songs on the 'favorites' and i dont know when but all of a sudden i noticed that the word 'favorites' was replaced and now it says 'playlist' and that there are no files on it. Also, it doesn't let me add any songs to my favorites and i have no idea how to fix this.

How do I put songs in playlist on my Coby MP620 MP3 player

The Coby is weird, but I found a way to create playlists. It might not be the "real" way, but it works :)
Before I plug the mp3 in my computer I create folders containing the songs I want for each play list. For example I'd create one folder labeled "work out" for songs I want to listen to while working out, and another folder labeled "sleep" for songs to listen to while sleeping, or you could label them based on artists or genre or etc. Then I would copy the songs I want in each playlist into their respective folders.
Next, I plug my coby into my computer, and open it's folder. (should be in computers, and have a icon with a C on it). I'd copy (or click and drag into the coby folder) my play list folders (the ones I labeled work out and sleep). Then eject and remove my mp3.
If you do this, when you turn on your mp3 you should select Music. Then select Broswer (on the bottom). Select the first row, which has the symbol "\" [underneath this is all your songs] and you'll see the names of your play list folders (they'll be below ROOT, MAC OS X Coby Me, and PHOTOS) . If you select your play list name you'll see and be able to play the songs under that playlist.

Making a favourites list

hi i hope this solution helps you and works for your sandisk too.. got it from a blog post who has the same concern with the sandisk... he actually contacted sandisk customer service (email) and this is what they replied to his email...

The Sansa m200 series supports favorites and can be configured with customized playlists.

Concerning Favorites: they can be created on the mp3 player itself. Set the player in Advanced mode (menu>settings>Advanced to ON). Once a song is playing, if you press and hold the center select button, it will say, 'Add to favorites' and have a check and a X. Select the check (default) and press the center button again. To remove it from the list, press and hold again; it will ask if you want to delete; again, select the check. This will remove it from the list only; however, the file physically remains on the mp3 player. To clear the entire list, go to menu>settings>playback>clear favorites.

Note: Each time the mp3 player is attached to the computer, even if nothing is added or removed, the favorites list is erased.

Concerning Playlists:
Playlists stay on the device even if connected to a computer or if the device content is changed.

Songs in My Music on LG Voyager phone will not play.

One of the files that you're trying to play on the phone is messed up. Something is wrong with it. I've seen similar things happen. Isolate the file by loading one song at a time or a group of songs, and then check to see if it's working correctly.

Unable to play new songs added to MP3 player

Wal mart downloads are notorious for not working with subscription devices (i.e. - devices that use rhapsody, or yahoo.).

You have 2 options;

 1) dont use any music from wal-mart

 2) burn the music to a cd, the re-rip them to your PC, thusly removing any copy protection and then re-transfer them to your device.

Best of Luck.

My mp3 doesnt play music properly

This is caused by the ground connection from the earphone socket not making contact with the main PCB.

This can be repaired by anyone competent with a soldering iron.

The four contacts on the earphone socket need to be re-soldered.
