Most often the shower head will be threaded together. Use 2 strap wrenches to take it apart. The strap wrenches will not damage the finish. Do not force it if the fixture does not come apart easily. Soak the head in vinegar overnight to loosen the mineral deposits and make it easier to work with. Good Luck
The holes are probably clogged from hard water. Take the whole head assembly and dip it in a bucket of CLR for an hour or so. Then rinse off and give that a try. If your cheap, you can use a bucket of white vinegar and a little bit o water, but the smell is most disagreeable.
There is a chance there is mineral deposits in the showerhead openings. You can try products sucha as limeaway by unscrewing the showerhead , soaking in the limeaway for a few minutes and rinsing with water. You may have to repeat this a few times to get it clean.
1 Check if the holes in the hand held shower are not clogged with scum which generally happens over prolonged use. Clean them with a pin.
2 If this does not help, then check the the pipe connecting the shower to the water outlet. It should be clean and not clogged with foreign material which restricts the flow of water.
3 It still it does not help then you may have to fix a booster pump or raise the level of the water reservoir.
This is a simple fix. The tools you need are: cresent wrench. You want to remove the shower hear off of the pipe coming from the wall. On the inside of the end off the shower head there should be a small plastic disk remove it. It will have a series of holes this is called a water saver. The holes get stopped up with minreals take a tooth pick and clean them out. I see this all the time. If that does not work it will be in the valve
