Every once in a while the tv will go off for 5 secs then turn back on.. I notice the red timer light on the front of the tv lights up during this process. Now the tv does not come on at all manually or with the remote.. I had the convergence board replaced 4 months ago...I have a TV repair man coming on tuesday but was wondering is there anything I can do to fix myself. I already checked the fuse in the back of the tv near the power cable...It is Fine!

Cable connection problem: Your Samsung Smart TV is likely to have a black screen issue due to the cable connection problem. Loose connections, damaged cables or inactive power sources are the probable cause of the problem on your TV. ... If the menu appears on the screen of your TV, then the problem is with the sources.
Not sure about the timer. Our 55" samsung broke last week and it was shutting on/off no picture just turn on music recycling off/on. The blue light was lite on TV and red light to the right was blinking. The TV repair guy replace the Power Supply board b/c of swollen capacitors, was under warranty. The board runs about 70 bucks though. Took him all of 5 mins after unscrewing the back cover of TV. The board is at the bottom center after cover is removed. Hope this helps
Try this: 1) turn on the TV 2) from the remote control press MENU 2,4,7,0 then ENTER 3) tv will state on screen that it is INITIALIZING 4) when done press the front reset button. 5) should be good to go!

Hi,try to reset lamp timer by unplugging tv wait 5 min and plug it back again.Check for clicking sounds it could be the ballast which is the board that powers the lamp that it could be bad.God bless you!
First take off my hard drive on the 360. Then plug it to the tv not with HDTV (use the red, yellow and white make sure it is on tv not HDTV) because it will not work for HDTV setting . then plugit into the wall with the 360 laying down not up and down and turned it on. (no picture but sound) with the 360 on take 1 towel fold it long ways and wraped it around 360 from back to front (make sure you cover the fans in the back to make it over heat.) leave your 360 on until it red rings (you can hear the 360 quit down. it takes about 15-30 mins depending on how fast it over heats. once this happens unwrap the 360 and turn it off wait 5 secs and power it back on and there you go you should have picture and sound again. if you still have problem you can now can send it to get repaired since there is a 3 year warrenty for red ringed 360's.
I know the tv is getting power I was wondering if it may be a blown fuse.
