Hi this is tech crazy
the solution to the problem is

You should be able to replace this part yourself. Follow these steps to replace the water actuator:

  1. Unplug the refrigerator to completely disconnect electrical power. Turn off the water supply to the refrigerator.
  2. Remove the drip tray (Key 23 in the image below) from the bottom of the dispenser.
  3. Remove the screws (Key 43) from the bottom of the dispenser module cover (Key 4). NOTE: You model may not have screws at the bottom of the dispenser cover. If not, push down on the top of the dispenser cover and pry out on the bottom of the cover with a flat tip screw driver to remove it.
  4. Pull to dispenser module cover up to release the top clips and remove this cover and set it aside.
  5. Remove the screws (Key 17) that are on each side of the dispenser module (Key 8).
  6. Carefully pull the dispenser module out slightly from the door. It will have wires attached. Pay attention to how the water tube and the ice door assembly are positioned. Pull this module out far enough to remove and replace your water actuator (Key 24).
Reverse the above process for reassembly.

Kenmore filled up with water then quit working?

Question edited for clarity.
'then', a moment in time.
'than', a comparison between one thing and another.

It depends on the model, but usually related to the lid lock. Also check the breaker.

Why does my washer stop working after filling with water?
If the Top Load Washer stops after filling with water, be sure to check the house circuit breaker/fuse as well as the outlet and plug. Washers should be plugged into their own separate, dedicated outlet. ..

I have a kenmore coldspot side by side water comes out dispenser but there is no water flow up to ice maker, also just replaced dual water celanoid

Hello, so you just replaced the water inlet valve correct? Here is a video on how to test the icemaker by removing the cover of the icemaker and connecting the L to the V water should immediatley come from the water inlet valve to the ice tray. If it did not and you heard the water valve actuate then there would be an issue with the icemaker in the unit. click this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlYCJr9dc3E if you have any further questions message me back Thanks

Washer fills up with water. and does nothing else. what can be wrong.

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your description "washer fills up with water. and does nothing else" it sounds like you`ll need to replace the lid switch, but first...

Here`s how you can check it pretty easily...

( this is based on the most common Whirlpool, Estate, Kitchen-Aid, Roper, Kenmore, Inglis top-load washer, not necessarily applicable to ALL...especially those built in the past 1-2yrs. the complete model number would distinguish if it applies to your particular model )

Lift the lid, if you observe the underside of the lid there will be a plastic "strike" or "actuator" that goes into a hole when the lid is closed.

Check the hole where the actuator goes into the cabinet and insure you can see a gray oval shaped piece. If so take a small screw-driver, pen/pencil or something small enough to fit thru the small hole and try activating the switch by pushing it down ( machine must be in the agitate or spin cycle ). If you don't see it, the switch has likely broken loose and needs to be replaced.

If it start's to function than the switch is not being contacted properly by the actuator on the lid and likely is due to the switch being worn...unless the actuator on the lid is broke, if so there`s the problem.

Make sure the switch is being held in place via the two screws along the side, if they are loose tighten them, if it is broken, it will need to be replaced.

Here`s a helpful link for changing it out,

The lid switch will look like this...

Let me know what you find and if I can assist you further.

Good luck.

Water line broken for Kenmore refrigerator near compressor

Cut off a piece of line and go to a good hardware store, they can show you how to fix it. Need a coupling, and a nut and ferrel. House water line goes on one end of coupling, nut and ferrel on the broken water line on fridge. A good hardware store will be able to show you how to fix.
