...and try this first...:
You need to know in which position was camera turned of.
So try turning it on in RECORD OR PLAY position.
It will work then...

NV-MD9000 , NV-GS11, NV-GS60 and all other camcorders have problem of "Push the reset button"(flashed on LCD after 2-3 months . This problem is due to some company defect in soldering in Main board. Get the cam checked by a good electronics tech guy instead of taking to panasonic service centre coz in service centre they will simply ask you to change the board. all the best my friend sreejith

A message is flashing E:61:10 and my zoom doesn't appear to work. Can you tell me what this is?

Remove media eg Tape/Mem stick from camera and then press the reset button on the bottom of the camera, then power the camera off, and power it back on again.
After doing all that your camera will work fine.

Sony HVR-A1U "Reinsert Cassette" Error pops up frequently

I have had this error on my 3 year old Sony A1E and it has resulted in glitched picture and audio, despite not showing a poblem whilst recording. It came up with C:31:23 error. Start of the tape seemed ok and the end seemed to get pixellated. A friend said the PD170 had the same issue and had to have her tape heads changed. I've tried cleaning mine but problem still there. I'm looking at getting new NXCAM as I've spent a lot of money last year getting it fixed.

Eject Button does not work

Take the battery out and turn selection switch to camera and then turn it off. Put the battery back in and its working again.
if that doesn't work try
Try smacking the side of the camera relatively hard with the palm of your hand. Eject the tape and reinsert. You may need to do this a couple of times.

"Re-attach the power source" but tape is stuck, door open

I had the same problem. First, depress the reset button, located on the camera body (where the LCD screen closes over it). It is hard to see at first. It is important that the camera be set to the OFF position. When the camera is whirring after the reset, then hit the EJECT button so the tape comes out. Take the tape out and insert it back. That's it. My camcorder worked fine and let me record or plaback once I followed those steps.
