Do not take it apart. If you do,it is then broken.Put about1/ cup of powdered dish washer detergent,in the bowl and fill with hot water.Let that soak for a few hours. And as the shampoo folks say, rinse and repeat,if needed. This also will clean tubs, toilets, and all ceramic tile very well.

Royal pro series carpet cleaner, new only used once. Tried today and sprays water but won't extract. Nothing in dirty water tank.

Inspect where the suction comes the machine into the water tank and through the tank to the nozzle assembly. If something isn't seated correctly or isn't working properly it could cause a suction loss.

Why is the recovery tank on Hoover f6212-900 not filling up?

Hello! There are a few things that can cause the cleaner to lose suction. Please try these quick steps.

1. Remove the dirty water tank.
2. Clear the filter screen of any dirt or debris.
3. Turn the cleaner on, check your motor suction by the filter screen.
4.. Replace the dirty water tank making sure it is flush to the cleaner on all sides.
5. Lift up on top of nozzle and slide off cleaner.
6. Wipe debris off nozzle and front of cleaner with a damp cloth.
7. Replace dirty water tank.

If you felt suction by the filter screen your suction should now be restored. Hope this was helpful!

My Hoover steam vac spin scrub will not suction up the cleaning solution . Why is there no suction?

p{margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px;} Hello,

Thank you for your recent e-mail. I am sorry to read about the problem that you are having with your cleaner.

Please make sure your recovery tank and lid are installed correctly and forming proper seals. Make sure that your filter is clean of any debris. Clean the screen in the tank lid. Make sure your nozzle and squeegee (if on your model) are free of dirt/lint/hair and attached in their holsters correctly. Make sure you do not have any clogs in the hose.

To restore suction, please try the following:

*Remove dirty water tank and clean filters- main reason for low suction is dirty filter

*Verify the dirty water tank cap is not missing.

*Verify dirty water tank lid is inserted completely into unit.

*When cleaning, the yellow float inside of dirty water tank should be free moving.

• First remove your clean water tank and unplug the machine
• Remove the dirty water tank lid and push the front panel piece (square plastic sliding piece in the front of tank) down to make sure it is inserted all the way.
• When reattaching the lid, hook the tabs on the front of the lid to the tank first, then click shut in the back. Pull up on the lid firmly, it should not lift at all. If it does, try reattaching as a seal needs to be formed for suction.
• Test to see if suction has been regained.

If these suggestions do not solve your issue please call a service center.

Your cleaner has at least a 6 month warranty for manufacturing defects. This warranty begins from the date of purchase, with the original sales receipt. If you do not have the original sales receipt, the warranty may be verified at the warranty repair center by MFG or serial number.

Please visit www.Hoover.com and click on service center locator for a list of authorized dealers in your area for service and warranty assistance.

Featherlite model 3M-852H

see this instructions:God bless you
Ensure the Dirt Devil is connected to a working power supply if it does not turn on or operate. Check the fuse or breaker and replace or reset as necessary.

  • 2 Empty the dirty water tank if there is little or no suction. Turn off the Dirt Devil and grab the top of the dirty water tank. Push on the latch to release the tank and pull the tank off the base. Remove the lid and empty the dirty water into a sink. Replace the cap and hook the front of the tank onto the machine base. Hook the nozzle on the base so that the nozzle is level with the cleaner base. Push the back of the dirty water tank down and into position.

  • 3 Check the dirty water tank and empty as necessary if there is water leaking from the cleaner. Open the latch on the top of the solution reservoir and pull the reservoir forward. Fill with Dirt Devil brand cleaner to the fill mark. Fill the rest of the reservoir with hot water and close the cap. Replace on the base unit.
  • 4 Make sure the solution reservoir is seated firmly in the base unit if there is no cleaning solution dispensing from the unit. Fill the solution tank with cleaner and water if the level is low.
  • 5 Examine the hose and nozzles for possible obstructions if the carpet cleaner does not seem to be operating correctly. Remove any blockages.

No suction on my Pro heat steamer

You may want to check to see if the removable nozzle is correctly placed into its place. This is the plastic part where the water is sucked up through by the carpet cleaner. The nozzle notches must fit into the groove on the cleaner correctly and the metal bar need to snap back on top of the removable nozzle, Also sometimes if you have hair trapped in the nozzle or the bristle, it will affect the suction power of getting up the dirty water. The dirty water tank need to snap in place by making sure the top of the gray snaps on each side is over the top groove of the dirty tank on each side and the the gray snaps are pushed down and pushed into the tank to until it is snapped in place.
Super Simple answer could be: The Dirty water tank could have bubbles in it causing it not to **** too.

Vacumm not working shampoo the rug but does not pick up dirty water

Try the following suggestions to see if you can get your machine suctioning properly:

    1) Remove the Tank-in-Tank Assembly and place your hand over the motor intake valve. This valve is located next to the Floor Nozzle gasket (at the top of the Floor Nozzle window) and behind the SmartMix Bottle. If you feel vacuum-like suction at this area, your suction power of the unit is working but air is escaping at some point. If there is no suction at the motor intake valve your machine will need to be inspected by an Authorized Service Center Technician.
    2) It is possible the Floor Nozzle on your machine is inserted incorrectly. This would directly affect the suction of your machine. Please follow the directions below for removing and replacing the nozzle.
Before starting, please be sure the machine is unplugged and the machine handle is reclined.
To remove the Floor Nozzle window, first detach the Phillips head screws located at the base of the nozzle. Then, remove the Tank-in-Tank Assembly. Next, pull forward at the top of the Floor Nozzle window to release the tabs of this window from the receiving holes of the machine. This window is designed to allow access for cleaning.
When replacing the Floor Nozzle window, please be sure the tabs at the TOP of the nozzle are properly inserted into the receiving holes provided. If you do not have the tabs in place properly, the suction power of the machine could be affected.
Rotate the window down into place and replace the screws.
    3) Ensure that the Ready Tools knob (diverter knob) is in the proper setting and the valve opens and closes freely. Ensure the black foam gasket is in place under the valve.
    4) Check to ensure the Tank-in-Tank assembly is seated properly and that it is not full of dirty water. (If this tank has a drain cap, make sure it is in place and that it has a black o-ring).
    5) Check the float and baffle to ensure they are properly installed on the Tank-in-Tank. The larger square portion of this part should be below the clear baffle of the tank with the red flag portion of the float resting on top of the baffle.
    6) Check the Tank-in-Tank and lid for damage. Is the lint screen clogged? Make sure the lint screen is in place on the tank lid and not placed into the motor duct. Also, clear the holes on the lint screen.
    7) Check to see if the upholstery hose has suction. If the hose has suction and the floor nozzle does not, check the diverter valve to see if it opens and closes freely. This can be seen through the Floor Nozzle window as you switch the diverter knob from the floor to tools setting.

    No Suction
    Possible Causes Remedies
    Tank is full. Empty tank.
Dirty/Collection tank latch is not down. Push latch down, securely
    into place.
Black Valve on the Dirty/Collection Tank is missing. Replace Black Valve into Dirty/ Collection tank.

Usually there is a seal out of place, or a filter is clogged, so you lose suction.
