I would think not but if it is a manufacture suggested maintenance item, I would do it.

Your engine has likely worn out. You are describing the situation when the piston rings are so heavily worn that gas pressure forces itself into the engine sump, pressurizing the lower oil case, and forcing itself into the evaporation system, which then makes its way to the air filter housing.

I advise doing a compression check on the engine at your local garage and repairing or replacing the engine if necessary.

Its 3 1/2 Quarts, but you might as well put a full 4 quarts in if it goes through that much. make sure you change the filter aswell! dirty oil will not cause your engine to go through it any faster. Is the oil leaking or is the engine burning it?

My 2002 Accent has the original rims which are R14 rather than the R13 specified in the owner's manual. Yet my speedometer is factory calibrated and gives the correct speed readings at all speeds (compared to my GPS navigator's indicated speed). I suspect that R14 is correct for your car and that Hyundai forgot to update the owner's manual.

Your engine is an interference type engine, if u broke the cam belt the engines valves are bent. U can most lkely get a used manual on ebay or do a Goggle search for one, they are available.

have you looked underneath the alternator ? it is only small capacity filter screwed into engine block
